Road haulage for palletised and larger business loads
Use road haulage when the load requires more planning than a standard parcel delivery. DAGO Express assesses enquiries for palletised goods, equipment and other business freight using the shipment’s dimensions, weight and route.
Describe the goods, number of handling units and any restrictions on stacking. A vehicle recommendation must account for payload and usable space as well as loading access.

Whatdo wetransport?
Check specialist requirements before booking
Tell us about regulated goods, temperature conditions or specialist handling. Have the required vehicle, equipment, documentation and any monitoring arrangements confirmed for your consignment before collection.
Loading arrangements are part of the transport plan
Provide the loading and unloading method, dock availability and any vehicle height or length restrictions. Tell us whether there is a forklift at both ends, whether side or rear loading is needed and whether the delivery requires an appointment.
For unusual, oversized or regulated goods, describe the requirement before requesting a booking. Specialist equipment or permissions should be confirmed for that consignment rather than assumed to be part of a standard service.
Plan domestic and European freight separately
For UK transport, provide full postcodes and site receiving hours. For a European journey, include the destination country, goods description and any border or documentation requirements that need checking before departure.
The route, crossing arrangements and delivery appointment affect the schedule. For urgent smaller consignments, compare dedicated European courier transport; for smaller domestic freight, see light haulage.
Request a road haulage quote with complete load details
Include the number and dimensions of pallets or packages, total weight, individual heavy-item weights, stackability, both addresses and preferred collection and delivery windows. Add contact names, loading instructions and booking references.
The quoted price should cover the agreed vehicle and route. Ask about waiting time, additional stops and special handling where relevant, and review transport insurance information for your goods.
Frequently asked questions about our courier service
What information is needed for a road haulage quote?
Provide the route, goods description, handling-unit count, dimensions, weight, stackability, loading method and collection and delivery windows.
Can a pallet count alone determine the vehicle?
No. Loaded dimensions, total weight, stackability and loading access also determine vehicle suitability.
Can I request a cross-border shipment?
Provide the countries, goods details and schedule so the route and documentation requirements can be assessed before booking.
