Carrier liability insurance is not required for bicycles, motorcycles or passenger cars; however, it becomes mandatory for vehicles from the van category upwards. This insurance provides financial protection in case of damage to or loss of transported goods. DAGO requires insurance in accordance with the CMR Convention with a minimum coverage of 8.33 SDR per kilogram of gross cargo weight.
Warning! Do not confuse carrier liability insurance with:

All your drivers must have the DAGO Express Driver App installed on an iPhone or Android smartphone. Use of the app is mandatory during assignments to ensure all trips are tracked and documented for safety purposes.
To register as a fleet manager with DAGO Express, you will need:
A vehicle (bicycle, scooter, car, van or truck – rented, leased or owned)
Business registration / Trade licence
Carrier liability insurance (not required for bicycles, motorcycles, and cars; however, it is mandatory for vehicles in the van category and above)
All drivers must use a smartphone with the DAGO Express Driver app (iOS or Android) during trips.
No. A free registration on the DAGO Express website is sufficient.
After registering, upload the necessary documents. Access is usually activated within 1–2 weeks.
No. DAGO Express does not offer an employment relationship; we provide individual transport orders.
We collaborate with independent entrepreneurs and subcontractors. The requirement is a business registration and a vehicle.
Yes, both registration and use of the portal are completely free of charge.
We do not offer continuous employment, but rather individual transports that you can see online every day.
If you are interested in a transport, send a price offer. If it is selected, we will contact you and assign the order to you.
No. Each transport contract is a separate order and does not create a permanent employment relationship.
Orders can be regional, national or international.
Documents, parcels, building materials, trade fair goods, EUR pallets, etc.
No. A vehicle is essential for collaboration.
We can only consider partners who have at least one vehicle (rented, leased or owned).
Yes. As a transport partner, you can also register with a car or a bicycle.
Smaller shipments (e.g. parcels or documents) can be transported without any problems.
Verification usually takes 1–2 weeks from the time the documents are uploaded.
No, a personal visit is not necessary.
After registration and uploading the documents, we will check them and then activate you as a partner. After that, you will be able to submit offers and accept orders online.
1. Log in to your account.
2. In the "Find orders" section, send your best offer for an open transport.
3. If your offer is selected, we will contact you by phone and assign the order to you.
The system automatically calculates a recommended price (for example, based on the postcode, type of shipment and required vehicle).
To increase your chances, you can accept the recommendation or offer a lower price. Quality also matters — for example, punctuality and the ratio of successfully completed orders to cancelled ones.
If your offer is of interest to us, we will contact you by phone or email to confirm acceptance.
For new partners, orders are usually assigned the day before or on the day of transport.
Exceptions: early collections on Monday or at the weekend — these orders are often already assigned on Friday.
Partners with a high quality rating can receive orders up to 7 days in advance.
As soon as you are registered and activated, you will be able to log in to the portal.
In the "Find orders" section, you will see the available orders and will be able to make an offer. If you receive an order, our team will contact you.
No. Sending an offer does not mean an automatic assignment of the order.
If the offer is suitable, we will confirm acceptance by phone or email. The same assignment principles apply as above (for new partners usually the day before / on the day of transport; for collections on Monday morning or at the weekend — often on Friday; for partners with very good reviews — up to 7 days in advance).
Orders are assigned by our specialised team. As soon as you receive an order, we will notify you by phone or email.
After that, you will also receive a confirmation email with all the important information. You can also view your orders online at any time.
If you want to submit a new offer for the same order with a different price, first withdraw the original offer and then send the new one.
No. Within our orders, you are only allowed to transport the goods specified in the specific order. Each order is assigned to a specific vehicle.
Carrier liability insurance covers damage caused to the transported cargo that may occur during transport.
It protects the cargo owner from financial loss in the event of damage, loss or theft. It is especially recommended when transporting valuable cargo.
Carrier liability insurance can be taken out at standard insurance companies in your country. You can search for ""carrier liability insurance"" + your country or contact an insurance advisor.
Yes. In this context, it is the same coverage: the cargo is insured during the entire transport time (recommended limit: 50,000 euros for standard commercial goods). Carrier liability insurance is not required for bicycles, motorcycles, and cars; however, it is mandatory for vehicles in the van category and above.
Mandatory motor third-party liability insurance (MTPL) covers damage related to the operation of the vehicle, but not the cargo inside it.
Business liability insurance covers risks related to business activities (for example, damage caused to third parties), but not always damage caused to the transported cargo.
Business registration (or an analogous document) is necessary if you want to officially and in accordance with the law conduct individual business activities.
It depends on the country. You register your business with the competent authority in your country; after registration, you will receive the document necessary for collaboration.
We recommend that you carry a blank CMR (international consignment note) with you. The sender/recipient can fill it out and sign it on the spot. Blank CMR forms can be ordered online.
Important: if there are no documents on the spot, you must fill out the CMR yourself and ask the recipient to sign it. This document will be needed later to approve your invoice.
If you know you will be late, please contact us immediately. Our team will contact the loading/unloading point, coordinate everything and help ensure a smooth process.
If the cargo is damaged during transport, please inform us immediately. Document the damage with a photo and send it to [email protected]; a phone call is also welcome.

If your company is registered outside Germany, for cross-border B2B services, the reverse charge mechanism often applies (may depend on the country and local regulations). Often the invoice is issued for the net amount (without VAT) with the note ""Reverse charge"". Please check the regulations in your country or consult a tax advisor.
If according to the rules in your country you are exempt from paying VAT (for example, under a small business scheme), you are usually not allowed / do not need to include VAT. Follow local regulations.
Proof of delivery (often POD) proves that the cargo was delivered to the specified recipient at a specific time. In logistics, a consignment note (for example, CMR) is often used for this purpose. This document is important for invoicing and settling any claims for damages.
No. For invoicing, we need the corresponding proof of delivery (POD/CMR etc.).
Yes. You can change the data of your vehicles in your profile in the ""Fleet"" section.
