Courier service Piraeus for shipping companies and port businesses
Piraeus is the maritime heart of Greece, and ship managers, agents and marine suppliers here regularly face tight deadlines that leave no room for delay. A reliable courier service Piraeus-based firms can book at any hour is therefore invaluable. DAGO Express organises the collection of your urgent freight through its verified partner network, generally within 60–120 minutes of your order. The goods then travel straight to the recipient as a direct transport, with no transshipment en route. Piraeus is well linked to central Athens by the metro, the suburban railway and the Kifisou and Syngrou avenues. From the western edge of Athens, the A8 heads towards Corinth and Patras, while the Attiki Odos leads straight to Athens International Airport. The bustling port serves ferries to the Aegean islands and Crete, cruise ships and a large container terminal. We collect promptly in the port area, Kastella, Pasalimani, Mikrolimano, Neo Faliro, Freattyda and the ship-repair zone at Perama.
Mapping out every Piraeus pickup
Port access, heavy traffic around the ferry gates and fixed berthing times all affect timing, so our dispatch department plans the direct route for each job, and every effort is made to arrive at the agreed time. Operating 24/7, we can provide a same day courier. If you prefer a fixed slot on the following day, simply opt for next day delivery.

Costs of a courier from Piraeus
The price for a direct transport from Piraeus reflects the distance, the vehicle size, the weight and dimensions of the goods and the required delivery time. Our online calculator produces a quote in seconds from the two postcodes, and email requests are typically processed within 15 minutes during business hours. There is no minimum shipment size for an express delivery: a set of ship's certificates is handled just as carefully as a heavy pallet delivery of engine parts. Inside the city, an urban vehicle for loads of up to 100 kg is also available.
Vehicles ready for Piraeus consignments
For every job, we select the vehicle that suits the load. Details of our lorries can be found on our truck transport page. The fleet includes:

- Medium van: Takes 4 pallets and 800 kg.
- Curtain-side van: Handles 8 to 10 pallets and up to 1,200 kg.
- Van with tail lift and pallet jack: Transports 8 pallets and up to 800 kg (up to 550 kg per piece) where there is no ramp.

How booking works for Piraeus consignments
- Online quote: key in the collection postcode in Piraeus or Perama and the delivery postcode, and the calculator shows your price within seconds; you can also email the request.
- Order: use the booking system or email to send the pickup and delivery addresses, contact person, billing address and the type, dimensions and weight of the goods, such as engine parts or ship's papers.
- Collection at the quay or office: with our partner network, express collection is usually arranged within one to two hours; a pickup at a specific date and time is also available.
- No transfers: the load goes directly to the recipient, for example a ship-repair yard; operating around the clock, we can deliver the same day or the next day, with a tracking link after confirmation.
Whatdo wetransport?
We are ISO 9001 certified. All cross-border transports are carried out by verified and reliable transport partners holding a valid EU license and – if required – an ADR license.
For temperature-controlled transports, we also provide a printout of the temperature profile recorded throughout the entire journey.
Piraeus to European destinations and the United Kingdom
From Attica, consignments bound for western and central Europe can take two main routes. Our partner vehicles either follow the A8 west to Patras and take a ferry to Italy, continuing through the Alps and France to the Channel ports, or drive north on the A1 via Thessaloniki and through the Balkans towards Austria and Germany. Both options keep your goods on the same dedicated vehicle from Piraeus directly to the recipient. DAGO Express provides direct transport to and from 38 countries, covering destinations from Sofia and Vienna to Rotterdam and Glasgow. Cross-border transports are performed exclusively by verified partners holding the required licences.
Customs notes for UK deliveries from Piraeus
Within the EU, no customs formalities apply to your pallets or parcels. Great Britain, however, lies outside the EU customs union. Please mention the UK address when requesting a quote and have the commercial invoice and export documents ready. For ship spares that include oils, paints or batteries, please declare these dangerous goods in advance so that a partner with the required licences is assigned. Extremely urgent single items can also be moved as a hot shot delivery, and our express courier across Europe handles all other international routes.
