Research samples, prototypes or signed contracts that cannot wait for the next parcel round need a courier service Darmstadt-based companies can book at short notice. DAGO Express organises an express collection anywhere in Darmstadt through its partner network, typically within 60–120 minutes of the order. The driver loads your urgent freight and heads straight for the delivery address, with no transshipment and no detours to pick up other goods. Darmstadt enjoys excellent road access: the A5 and the A67 meet at the Darmstädter Kreuz west of the city, and the short A672 connects that junction with the city itself. Whether the pickup point is a laboratory in Kranichstein, an office in Bessungen or a workshop in Eberstadt, Arheilgen or Wixhausen, a partner vehicle can be on its way quickly.
Planning each direct transport from southern Hesse
Before a driver sets off, our dispatch department plans the direct route to the recipient. Good route planning keeps each run predictable and efficient. Thanks to our 24/7 operation, a same day courier is available for particularly urgent consignments, while less pressing goods can be booked for a fixed slot as next day delivery. Courier costs in Darmstadt and the right vehicle for your goods
Several factors shape the price of a direct transport from Darmstadt: the distance to the destination, the size of vehicle needed, the weight and dimensions of the load and the delivery deadline. A quote takes only seconds with our online calculator – simply enter the collection and delivery postcodes. If you prefer to write to us, email enquiries received during business hours are generally processed within 15 minutes. We have no minimum shipment size, so a single circuit board travels just as reliably as a heavy pallet delivery.

Whatdo wetransport?
We are ISO 9001 certified. All cross-border transports are carried out by verified and reliable transport partners holding a valid EU license and – if required – an ADR license.
For temperature-controlled transports, we also provide a printout of the temperature profile recorded throughout the entire journey.
Direct connections from Darmstadt to the UK and across Europe
Located in the Rhine-Main area, Darmstadt gives drivers quick access to the major European corridors. Heading south on the A5, routes lead towards Karlsruhe, Basel and on into Switzerland or France; heading north, the motorway network opens up the Benelux countries and the Channel ports for loads bound for Britain. DAGO Express arranges direct transport to and from 38 countries, so a shipment from Darmstadt can travel to Milan, Antwerp or Manchester without being unloaded along the way. Cross-border runs are only carried out by verified partners that hold the required licences.
Sending goods from Darmstadt to Great Britain
Because the United Kingdom is no longer part of the EU, consignments to England, Scotland or Wales must be accompanied by customs documents. Please mention the UK destination when requesting your quote, and have the commercial invoice and export documents ready when the driver collects your goods. Consignments to EU countries such as France, Austria or Italy travel without customs formalities. If you are shipping chemicals or batteries that fall under the rules for dangerous goods, please say so when booking so that an appropriately licensed partner is assigned. For particularly urgent single consignments, our hot shot delivery service sends a vehicle reserved for your goods alone.

Will my shipment from Darmstadt be delivered directly without transshipment?
With a booked direct run, the courier takes your shipment from sender to recipient without transshipment. This suits time-critical documents, parts and parcels.
Can I send a small urgent shipment from Darmstadt?

How fast can a courier pick up goods in Darmstadt?
Through our partner network, an express collection in Darmstadt usually takes place within 60–120 minutes of booking. Alternatively, you can agree a fixed pickup date and time, for example at a research building in Kranichstein or an office near the main station.
Can my shipment from Darmstadt arrive on the same day?
Yes. Because we run our operations 24/7, same day delivery is available for direct transports from Darmstadt. The goods stay on one vehicle all the way to the recipient. If a delivery the next morning suits you better, we can schedule it that way.
What is needed for a courier shipment from Darmstadt to the UK?
As the UK lies outside the EU, customs documents must accompany the goods. Please mention the UK destination when requesting a quote, and have the commercial invoice and export documents ready when the driver collects your goods.
Can you transport laboratory samples or temperature-sensitive goods from Darmstadt?
Please describe the goods when booking so that we can assign a suitable vehicle. For temperature-controlled transports, a temperature log is recorded throughout the journey. Hazardous substances require a partner with the appropriate licences, which our dispatch team selects once it knows the exact nature of the consignment.
How is my consignment insured?
Every transport is covered through the Schunck Group for up to 8.33 SDR per kilogram of gross weight, roughly €10 per kilogram. If you are sending valuable items such as measuring equipment or prototypes, cover can be extended on request up to a goods value of €50,000.
Will I be informed about the status of my delivery?
Yes. Once your order is confirmed, you receive a tracking link, and emails notify you when the goods have been collected and when they have been delivered. The customer portal shows your orders at any time, and in certain regions the vehicle can be followed in real time.
Is a collection in Darmstadt possible late in the evening or on a Sunday?
Evening and weekend dispatches are possible after a short check of vehicle availability. Our on-call service also covers weekends and public holidays, so urgent consignments from Darmstadt do not have to wait until the next working day.
How do I request a price for a courier from Darmstadt?
The quickest route is our online calculator: enter the pickup and delivery postcodes and your quote appears within seconds. You can also email us the addresses, preferred times and details on the type, number, size and weight of the goods; during business hours we usually reply within 15 minutes.
Which parts of Darmstadt and which nearby towns do you cover?
We collect throughout the city, including Mitte, Bessungen, Arheilgen, Eberstadt, Kranichstein and Wixhausen. Neighbouring towns such as Weiterstadt, Griesheim, Pfungstadt, Mühltal, Roßdorf and Dieburg are served as well, and deliveries can go to any destination in Europe.
Who signs for the delivery, and can I get electronic documents?
The transport documents are signed by the recipient when the goods are handed over. On request, consignment notes can also be provided electronically, which makes filing easier for accounting departments. Please note that only one delivery attempt is included, so make sure someone is available to accept the shipment.
