How does the direct transport of a sensitive sample to the laboratory work?
A courier collects the sealed sample, already placed in a cool box, from the agreed location at short notice. The driver then travels straight to the laboratory without intermediate stops or transshipment. On arrival, the shipment is handed personally to an authorised recipient.
Groundwater samples can provide important information about environmental conditions at a construction site. They are required for chemical, biological and technical analyses, among other purposes. However, the condition of a sample does not remain unchanged indefinitely. After collection, the driver follows the shortest sensible route directly to the destination. Dispatch monitors the journey and can notify the customer promptly if traffic causes any disruption.

Before collection, the samples are sealed and placed in the customer’s standard cool box. The customer selects the suitable packaging, cooling elements and required temperature conditions in accordance with the laboratory’s instructions.
The driver does not open the box during transport. It is positioned in the vehicle so that it is protected against tipping, impacts and direct sunlight. Additional securing measures can be agreed in advance if required.
Cooling should not be confused with actively controlled temperature. If continuous monitoring or a precisely defined temperature range is necessary, this must be stated when booking and provided technically through suitable packaging or an appropriate vehicle.

At the laboratory, the driver does not leave the box unattended at reception unless this has been expressly agreed. It is handed to the designated employee, and any confirmation is sent directly to dispatch.
