Courier service Ravenna for the port, the city and the Romagna coast
Whether a spare part is needed on a vessel moored along the Candiano canal or a set of signed contracts has to reach a client in Bologna, a courier service Ravenna-based businesses can count on must move without delay. DAGO Express organises the collection of your goods through its partner network, typically within 60–120 minutes of your booking. The goods then travel straight to the recipient in a vehicle reserved for your consignment, with no transshipment and no shared loads. Ravenna is linked to the A14 motorway by its own branch, the A14dir, which joins the main Adriatic corridor towards Bologna and Rimini. The SS16 Adriatica runs south along the coast, the E45 heads inland towards Cesena and central Italy, and the SS309 Romea leads north to Venice. We collect from the historic centre, the Darsena district, Classe, the industrial areas along the port canal and seaside places such as Marina di Ravenna and Punta Marina.
How each Ravenna run is prepared
Before a driver sets off, our dispatch department plans the direct route to your delivery address. This route planning is part of every same day courier job. Because we work 24/7, consignments can leave Ravenna and arrive on the very same day. If a fixed arrival on the following morning suits the recipient better, simply choose next day delivery instead.

How the price of a Ravenna courier is calculated
Several factors shape the cost of a direct transport from Ravenna: the distance to the destination, the type of vehicle required, the weight and dimensions of the goods and the time by which they must arrive. Our online calculator turns the pickup and delivery postcodes into a quote in seconds, and email enquiries received during business hours are normally processed within 15 minutes. There is no minimum volume – a single envelope is as welcome as a full pallet load, and for small items in town an urban vehicle carrying up to 100 kg is available.

Whatdo wetransport?
We are ISO 9001 certified. All cross-border transports are carried out by verified and reliable transport partners holding a valid EU license and – if required – an ADR license.
For temperature-controlled transports, we also provide a printout of the temperature profile recorded throughout the entire journey.
Ravenna to the UK and destinations across Europe
From the Romagna coast, the motorway network opens up the whole of northern Italy and the Alpine crossings. A driver collecting goods in Ravenna heads towards Bologna and then north to the Brenner or the Swiss passes, continuing through Germany, France or the Benelux countries to the Channel ports for addresses in England, Scotland or Wales. DAGO Express organises direct transport to and from 38 countries, so a consignment for Munich, Lyon or Manchester stays with one vehicle and one driver from start to finish. Cross-border runs are carried out exclusively by verified partners holding the required licences.
Paperwork for UK consignments from Ravenna
Deliveries inside the European Union need no customs formalities, but Great Britain lies outside the EU customs area. When you ask for a quote, name the UK address and have the commercial invoice and export documents ready for collection. Chemicals and fuels produced around the port may fall under ADR rules, so please declare any dangerous goods when you book, and a partner holding the appropriate licence will be assigned. More about long-distance runs can be found on our page on express courier Europe services.

How soon can a driver pick up my goods in Ravenna?
In most cases our partner network sends a vehicle to your address in Ravenna within 60–120 minutes of booking. If you would rather plan ahead, a scheduled pickup at an agreed date and time is also possible, for instance at a terminal on the port canal or an office in the city centre.
Can a consignment from Ravenna arrive on the same day?
Yes, since we operate 24/7, same day delivery is possible for direct runs from Ravenna, for example to Bologna, Milan or Venice. The goods remain on one vehicle all the way. When the recipient prefers a fixed slot the next morning, the delivery can be scheduled for the following day instead.
Do you deliver from Ravenna to addresses in Great Britain?
Yes, we organise direct transports from Ravenna to the whole of the UK. As Great Britain is outside the EU, customs documents are needed. Please state the UK destination in your request and have the commercial invoice and export papers ready so the driver can take them at collection.
Can you bring urgent spare parts to ships and plants in the Port of Ravenna?
Yes. Urgent components for vessels, offshore service companies or industrial plants along the port canal can be collected anywhere in Europe and driven directly to the agreed address. Please give us the exact delivery point and any access requirements for the terminal when booking, so the driver arrives prepared.
Which vehicle sizes can I book in Ravenna?
Our range starts with a minivan for 2 Euro pallets and 450 kg, followed by a medium van for 4 pallets and 800 kg and a curtain-side van for 8 to 10 pallets and 1,200 kg. For heavy freight we provide lorries up to a full truck with 33 pallet spaces and 24 tonnes.
What insurance cover applies to my shipment?
Each shipment is insured through the Schunck Group for up to 8.33 SDR per kilogram of gross weight, which equals roughly €10 per kilogram. For higher-value goods such as instruments or electronic components, the cover can be extended on request up to a goods value of €50,000.
How do I follow my delivery from Ravenna?
Once your order is confirmed, you receive a tracking link, followed by email notifications at pickup and at delivery. The customer portal shows the status of every order. Real-time vehicle location is available in certain regions. On request, the driver can also phone the recipient one hour before arrival.
Is a pickup in Ravenna possible at night or on a Sunday?
Yes, express consignments can be collected in the evening and at weekends. We accept the order after a short check of vehicle availability. Our on-call service also works on public holidays, so an urgent part can leave Ravenna outside normal office hours.

We collect and deliver across Ravenna, including the centre, Darsena, Classe, Marina di Ravenna, Punta Marina, Porto Corsini and Lido Adriano. Neighbouring towns such as Cervia, Faenza, Lugo, Forlì and Cesena are served as well, along with any destination in Europe.
