Full Truckload Shipping: One Trailer, One Shipper, One Direct Route
When your freight fills a whole trailer – or simply should not share one – full truckload (FTL) is the most direct way to move it. A 53 ft dry van is loaded at your dock, travels straight to the consignee and is unloaded there. No terminals, no transfers, no other freight on board.
DAGO Express finds a vetted carrier with a 53 ft dry van for your lane, confirms a fixed rate in U.S. dollars and tracks the load from pickup to delivery. Send us your lane, pallet count and weight – by phone, e-mail or through our online booking – and our dispatch comes back with a truck and a rate.

Whatdo wetransport?
Notice
We are ISO 9001 certified. Interstate shipments are carried out by vetted motor carriers with active FMCSA operating authority and cargo insurance. Local courier runs within one state are handled by vetted, fully insured couriers.
For temperature-controlled transports, we also provide a printout of the temperature profile recorded throughout the entire journey.
How we vet our carriers
1Authority checkBefore the first load we verify USDOT number, operating authority and safety record in the FMCSA database. For local runs in cars and SUVs we verify driver license, vehicle registration and insurance.2Insurance checkValid cargo and liability insurance is required. We check the certificate before a carrier can take loads and again when it expires.3Carrier agreementEvery carrier signs our carrier agreement and service rules: no re-brokering, exclusive use of the vehicle, proof of delivery for every shipment.4Monitoring & ratingEvery shipment is monitored and rated for punctuality, communication and damage-free delivery. Carriers who do not meet our standards are removed from the network.
53 ft Dry Van: Capacity at a Glance
| Specification | Typical value |
|---|---|
| Interior length | approx. 52–53 ft |
| Interior width × height | approx. 8 ft 2 in × 8 ft 10 in |
| Pallets (48" × 40") | up to 26 single-stacked, up to 52 double-stacked |
| Payload | up to approx. 42,000–45,000 lbs |
| Loading | Dock-high; liftgate or pallet jack on request |
Fewer than 14 pallets? A smaller truck is usually faster and cheaper – see small truckload (STL) shipping and box truck freight.
When to Choose Full Truckload
- 15 to 26 pallets or more than approx. 10,000 lbs – too much for a box truck
- High-value or sensitive freight – sealed trailer, no co-loading, no re-handling
- Production and distribution moves – plant to warehouse, warehouse to distribution center
- Retail and e-commerce replenishment – full loads to stores and fulfillment centers
- Recurring lanes – the same route every week with agreed rates, see dedicated delivery
Compared to LTL, full truckload is faster and safer because the trailer is sealed at pickup and opened only at delivery. For time-critical loads we also send smaller trucks right away – see hot shot express delivery.
Who Uses Full Truckload Shipping?
- Manufacturers – raw materials and finished goods between plants and warehouses, see machinery transport
- Retailers and e-commerce brands – inventory to distribution and fulfillment centers, see e-commerce logistics
- Building suppliers – full loads of materials to job sites, see construction materials delivery
- Textile and packaging companies – see textile distribution
- Businesses moving locations – complete office or warehouse relocations in one trailer
Every load moves with the cargo insurance of the motor carrier, complemented by our transport insurance.

Full Truckload Pricing
FTL rates depend on the lane, the distance in miles, the pickup date and current truck availability in the market. You receive one fixed rate for the whole trailer in U.S. dollars – including fuel, with no hidden fees. Accessorials such as detention, liftgate or extra stops are agreed in advance.
DAGO Express Inc. is a licensed property broker registered with the FMCSA, USDOT 6965061, MC 63254743. Every transport is performed by a vetted, authorized motor carrier with active operating authority and cargo insurance. For regular shipments we set up business accounts with agreed rates and monthly invoicing.
Frequently asked questions about our courier service
How many pallets fit in a 53 ft trailer?
A 53 ft dry van takes up to 26 standard 48" × 40" pallets single-stacked, or up to 52 if the pallets can be double-stacked.
How much weight can a full truckload carry?
A 53 ft dry van typically carries up to approx. 42,000 to 45,000 lbs, depending on the truck and the trailer.
When is FTL cheaper than LTL?
As a rule of thumb, from about 10 to 14 pallets or 10,000 lbs a full truckload often costs about the same as LTL – while being faster and safer.
Is my freight the only load in the trailer?
Yes. With full truckload the trailer is reserved exclusively for your shipment and drives directly from pickup to delivery.
How quickly can you book a truck?
In most markets we can confirm a truck for the same or the next day. For recurring lanes we plan capacity in advance.
How much does full truckload shipping cost?
The rate depends on lane, distance, pickup date and market capacity. Send us your lane and freight details and you receive a fixed rate in U.S. dollars.
What is the difference between FTL and LTL?
In LTL your freight shares a trailer with other shipments and is re-handled at terminals. In FTL the whole trailer is reserved for you and drives directly from pickup to delivery.
Can a 53 ft trailer deliver to a residential address?
Usually not – a tractor-trailer needs space and a loading dock. For residential or tight locations a box truck or straight truck is the better choice.
Do you offer equipment other than dry vans?
Our focus is the 53 ft dry van. Other equipment can be requested from our dispatch and is confirmed per load.
Is my full truckload insured?
Yes. Every load moves with the cargo insurance of a vetted motor carrier, complemented by our transport insurance. State the declared value for high-value freight.
Can I track my truckload?
Yes. Our dispatch monitors the load from pickup to delivery and informs you about any change. You receive a proof of delivery after unloading.
What information do I need for an FTL quote?
Pickup and delivery location, pickup date, number of pallets, total weight, whether the freight is stackable and any appointment or accessorial needs.
