Safe and under your control
An AI assistant that can book real orders needs clear rules. These apply to the DAGO connector:
- No booking without your yesYour AI only books after you confirm that exact quote with its rate, vehicle, dates and addresses.
- The rate is rechecked before bookingIf the rate changed or the quote expired, nothing is booked and you see the new quote.
- Your password stays with DAGOThe password only goes to the DAGO sign-in. The connector neither stores nor logs it. Access credentials are stored encrypted.
- Daily limit per companyThe connector allows at most 10 bookings per company per day – protection against accidental duplicate bookings.
Frequently asked questions
What does the DAGO connector cost?
The connector itself is free. You only pay for your shipments – at the same rates as in the DAGO rate calculator.
How do I pay for orders I book through my AI?
Payment does not run through the AI. You receive the payment details from DAGO Express as usual.
Can I cancel or change an order through my AI?
Cancellations and changes are handled by email at [email protected]. Our terms and conditions apply.
Do I need a DAGO account?
Yes. The connector works with your DAGO customer account. No account yet? Sign up for free here.
We use Claude Team or Enterprise – what is different?
There an admin adds the connector once under Admin settings → Connectors. After that, all members find it under Settings → Connectors and just click Connect. If the option is grayed out, your admin has disabled custom connectors.
Does this work in Claude Code and Codex too?
Yes. Add the connector with claude mcp add --transport http dago https://mcp.dagoexpress.com/mcp in Claude Code or codex mcp add dago --url https://mcp.dagoexpress.com/mcp in Codex, then sign in to DAGO.
What data does the AI see?
Only what your request needs: rates, vehicles, your orders and contact details from your DAGO account. You can disconnect at any time in your AI app’s settings.
What is the DAGO MCP connector?
It is the official DAGO Express server for the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the open standard that connects AI assistants to business systems. Once connected, your AI assistant can get rates, book transports and check order status in your DAGO account.
Which AI assistants work with DAGO?
Claude, Claude Code, Codex, ChatGPT and Grok connect in a few steps. Microsoft Copilot runs as an agent inside your own Microsoft 365 organization, so we set it up together with you. Custom connectors can depend on your plan with the AI provider.
Can my AI book a transport without asking me?
No. It first shows you the vehicle, addresses, dates, the rate net and gross and our terms. It books only after you confirm exactly that quote. A quote is valid for 30 minutes.
What information does my AI need for a rate?
Pickup and delivery address, dates, quantity, dimensions, weight and whether the goods can be stacked. If something is missing, it asks you instead of guessing.
Which vehicles can I book?
In the United States you can book express vehicles for a dedicated direct transport. Your AI suggests a suitable vehicle based on the size and weight of your shipment.
Does the driver load and unload?
No. Loading at pickup and unloading at delivery are done by the shipper and the recipient. We do not palletize goods, and we do not combine part loads.
Do I need a developer to set it up?
No. In Claude, ChatGPT and Grok you add the connector in the app settings. Claude Code and Codex need one command in the terminal.
How is this different from the DAGO API?
The DAGO API connects your own software and needs development work. The connector works in the chat with your AI assistant, after you sign in with your DAGO account.
Does my AI see my DAGO password?
No. Your password only goes to the DAGO sign-in. The connector neither stores nor logs it.
Can I book right after signing up?
New company accounts are approved by our team before their first booking.
